Our dear friend, colleague and mentor: Crosbie Cotton

It is with great sadness CHCO-TV, The Courier, and the Board of Directors learned of the passing of Crosbie Cotton — a member of our community and TV family.

Crosbie, who hailed from Lennoxville, Quebec, was an award-winning journalist and author who worked with various media outlets, including the Montreal Star and Sports Illustrated. He spent most of his career in Alberta and was formerly editor-in-chief of The Calgary Herald.  His wealth of knowledge, experience, and advice was immeasurable to us and our organization. His unflinching honesty was a breath of fresh air. Those with the expertise Crosbie brought to our organization are irreplaceable.

Our thoughts are with Crosbie’s wife Monica, his three adult children, James, Amy and Stefanie, as well as his friends and colleagues during this difficult time. Our TV family mourns with you.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Atlantic Salmon Federation on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 4:30 p.m.
