Two St. Stephen men plead guilty to break and enter

Two men from St. Stephen has pleaded guilty to breaking and entering in connection to an arrest in April 2025.

Police say 63-year-old Miles Burton John and 23-year-old Miles Johnson Jr were remanded into custody and are expected to return for sentencing in May.

A charge of robbery, laid in connection to the same incident, was dismissed, RCMP said.

Back in April 2025, RCMP in St. Stephen responded to a call to a report of a home invasion at a residence in Oak Bay.

According to police, five individuals had forcefully gained entry to the residence while the homeowners were present.

“One individual was armed with a weapon and assaulted one of the homeowners, who suffered minor injuries. The suspects fled the scene with undisclosed medications prior to police arrival,” the release said back in April, noting four arrests in connection to the incident later on the same day.

St. Stephen RCMP said in the same update that a 20-year-old woman was arrested in Saint John and charged with robbery with an offensive weapon. She was released and is expected to return to court in May.
