29-year-old charged with homicide in Blacks Harbour death

A 29-year-old man from Blacks Harbour has been charged in connection with a homicide investigation. 

St. George RCMP said on July 17 at around 1:50 a.m. they received a call for a well-being check on Wellington Road in Blacks Harbour. 

“Upon arrival at the residence, police located the body of a deceased woman inside,” the release said. “The woman has since been identified as 45-year-old Patricia Honeywell.” 

On the same day, RCMP said in the release that Jordan Blanchard appeared in Saint John Provincial Court via tele-remand and was charged with aggravated assault. 

Blanchard returned to court on July 24 and was charged with second-degree murder.

He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 21, 2026.

The investigation is ongoing.
