New Brunswick Emergency Measures Organization say a wildfire near Brockway is considered contained.
According to the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) wildfire dashboard, the fire has reached 13 hectares in total.
The Harvey Fire Department posted to social media thanking DNR and the local fire fighters for their efforts.
It continues to advise residents and motorist to avoid the area.
“We respectfully ask that members of the public continue to avoid the area until it is deemed safe by the Department of Natural Resources, so that firefighting efforts may continue uninterrupted,” the fire department said on social media.
The entire province is under a burn ban, apart from Carleton, York, Sunbury, Charlotte and Saint John counties, where burning is permitted from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.
