UPDATE: N.B. chip company CEO takes leave of absence following U.S. arrest

Covered Bridge Potato Chips has announced a new executive vice president amid the arrest of the company’s president and CEO Ryan Albright for domestic assault in Bangor, ME.

Brook Dickinson will serve in the position, according to the company statement.

“Dickinson brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this position having worked with the company, in senior leadership roles for over 15 years,” the statement said.

Albright, 44, was arrested by the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office on charges of domestic assault on Oct. 19. He is no longer listed as an inmate on the PCSO. Police confirmed to the River Valley Sun that Albright had been released from custody.

The statement said Albright has chosen to take a leave of absence from the company.

“This announcement follows the notice that company President and CEO Ryan Albright has chosen to take an extended leave of absence in light of recent personal health challenges,” it read.

It thanked Albright for his contributions to the company and wished “he and his family well with their personal plans.”
