St. George RCMP arrest 36-year-old after break and enter

New Brunswick RCMP say a 36-year-old man has been arrested following a break and enter in Maces Bay.

On Jan. 23, police in St. George responded to a break, enter, and theft from a residence in County Line Road.

One or more individuals forcefully gained entry by breaking the front door and stole items, including some jewelry,” the RCMP said in a release.

The RCMP were notified of a suspicious vehicle located at a religious establishment, the release said. After a short altercation, police arrested a 36-year-old man and recovered some of the stolen items.

The man was later released and is scheduled to appear in court in May 2026. A woman was also arrested at the scene, but was later released.

Anyone who may have information that could help further the investigation is asked to contact the St. George RCMP at 506-755-1130.
