St. Stephen RCMP say it has seized drugs and a firearm as part of a drug trafficking investigation in the community.
On May 6, several detachments, including St. Stephen, McAdam, St. George and St. Andrews, executed a search warrant of a property on Princess Street.
“As a result of the search, police seized quantities of what are believed to be fentanyl, crystal meth, crack cocaine, an undisclosed amount of cash, drug paraphernalia, a cell phone and an unsecured long gun,” RCMP said in a release. “The owner of the firearm did not have a Possession and Acquisition Licence.”

The police said they arrested a 27-year-old woman from St. Stephen, who was later released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 26.
“This investigation has resulted in harmful drugs being taken off the streets of St. Stephen and surrounding areas,” Sgt. Pierre Ladouceur said in a release. “These results reflect the dedication and diligence of our frontline officers, whose continued efforts are essential in keeping our communities safe.”
