75-year-old man dies after two-vehicle collision in Oak Bay

A 75-year-old man from Crocker Hill, N.B. has died following a two-vehicle collision in Oak Bay, according to RCMP.

In a release, RCMP said on Oct. 31, at around 11:50 a.m., members from the St. Stephen RCMP detachment responded to the collision at the intersection of Route 170 and Old Bay Road in Oak Bay.

“The collision is believed to have occurred when the first vehicle failed to yield and was struck by the second vehicle,” the release said. “The driver and sole occupant of the first vehicle was transported to hospital with what were believed to be life-threatening injuries and has since died as a result of his injuries.”

Police said the driver and passenger of the second vehicle were also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
