Police suspect foul play in missing woman’s death

A 26-year-old woman was reported missing has been found dead, according to New Brunswick RCMP.

The St. George RCMP received a report of the missing woman from Musquash on April 15, it said in a release.

“On April 17, the Major Crime Unit took carriage of the investigation, and the woman’s vehicle was located the same afternoon in Maces Bay,” the release said. “Later that day, the woman’s body was located with the assistance of police dog services.”

Police say criminality is believed to be a factor in the woman’s death. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine her cause of death.

The investigation is ongoing.
